Chiangmai trip no.2

Changi Airport, Jessica was looking at the balls.

Arrived at Chedi Hotel, waiting to check in.

My mom relaxing although she was only sitting at the lobby.

Simple, delicious simple "local" food and cheap. We enjoyed the fried chicken and pork ribs. The rest like the mashed brinjal, we dont know how to enjoy. Taste a little burnt.

At the temple, up on the mountain. Doi Suthep. I didnt take much pictures of the hotel rooms cos this is the 2nd time we stayed there.

Group picture. William, me, my mom, our maid and little Jessica. William's parents couldnt come otherwise it would have been a bigger group.

My mom praying to her meditation buddha. Everyone will have their own type of buddha, depending on the day , month and time they are born.

Another group pic, take at the entrance of the temple.

random pic, taken by my mom

After our temple trip, we headed off to Chiangmai zoo so that Jessica could see her favourite animal - elephant! and we are hoping to see the baby panda which we failed to see the last time cos the mother and and baby is seperated from the public , as the baby panda is  VERY precious! and rather rare to be born in another country.

paid 20 baht to get the bananas to feed the elephant. Jessica is not as afraid as the last time.

We were very lucky to catch the father panda eating in action. It took him about 10-15 mins to finish up the bamboos , then poo then sleep. Good life with air condition too.

Back at the hotel to change and out for dinner again.

Went to this  gallery restaurant where alot of caucasians go. The view was beautiful, along the lake and you can see boats. This pic wasnt taken very well, cos i used the sensitive mode and the boat moved too quickly for me to snap.

Jessica was trying to hide her swollen eye

Day 2

We went to the hot spring. Bought some quail eggs from the aunty 20 baht to cook. According to the tour guide, Mr. Montree who is a very nice chap said it is 90 degrees. Jessica was helping me to hold the stick and i was so afriad that she will run towards it.

the aunties with the eggs.

the amount of steam

Jessica getting tummy ache. We were also worried that she might have constipation cos we went thru that before, My mom was to pull it out. Ouch! Luckily this time round i keep feeding her w juice.

My mom soaking her feed in the hot spring water

jessica's "pretty face" pose

Round 2 of tummy ache, within 15 mins after her 1st round, at the hot spring

The mini bus we chartered throughout the whole trip. Very comfortable. It has a tv too, so jessica could watch her Barney and the wild cartoon while our long trip, 4hrs up and down. Total 8 hours?

the famous "white temple" and we dont know the name. wahaha. It is very beautiful la.

mom and daughter

our little family. As you can see the scary handsssss behind. according to Montree ( tour guide) says, that portion is supposed to be "hell" after u crossed the bridge, its the heaven. ( the temple).

Close up of the hands. Can you see the red nail, pointing the middle finger

another "pretty" face. My mom kept asking her to pose like this throughout the trip. I like her minnie shirt very much. I bought it from HK disneyland. I thought she looks like minnie, the shape of her face. round round....

Heavenly? you should fly there and see this, but be prepare for the car ride.

We took a while to find out what this building is for...

Its a pretty GOLD toilet. Take a close look- you can see MEN and WOMEN. I didnt realise until william told me about it. Oh anyway we cant use the camera inside the temple. But the paintings were fantastic and real! It isnt complete yet.
